Rome I feel like I have stumbled into another world. The beauty of this land is untouched, it is such a mystical place. The beauty entices me and invites me to stay, the rich culture leaves me breathless, wanting more. I realize this is not a dream but this dream has come true, Thank you, FabOverFifty and Lubrigyn.
To visit Rome & sip cappuccino at a cafe in front of the Colisuem, you are transported to another time. You can almost hear the roar of the Romans cheering. I longed to experience this. The beauty of this place invites you back, she gets into your blood, never to leave you. The scent of Lemons, wine, and tomato sauce & Olive oil & Lemoncello. Aaah, it all comes back to me with such force. Just a sniff of these scents transport me back there. It was the best trip of my life. I will never forget.
I love to travel to places, I have never been. The importance of vacationing is shown to us from the heart. I found to get the most enjoyment, It is important to immerse yourself & uncover mysteries while traveling. We may not understand at the time, but it will be revealed to us,when we least expect it. It is important to be happy from the inside out. Traveling does this…It makes your soul smile. I have found that once you have traveled, the voyage never ends, but it is played out over & over again in a quiet place in my mind and through pictures, I will forever be able to take these journeys within my soul.
Rome ~ offers so much beauty & touches my soul. Traveling to faraway places allows me to dream of a time, when time stood still & everything beautiful calls your name. She offers so many beautiful/hidden places to reconnect with your inner self & rediscover all that is beautiful. Along life’s path, travel can truly open your eyes to the beauty left behind. I for one, have never dreamed in my lifetime of seeing a place that would take your breath away, Rome does this.
I am a girl with an insatiable curiosity. Traveling thrills me! It awakens something inside me. It often triggers an emotional response too deep for words, it creates a lifetime of memories. My heart beats at a restless race before the journey begins, where anxiety and anticipation are tangled together. I love traveling, packing not so much….
Discovering new places is such an incredible experience. Thru traveling, we see the world in a different way. It’s a beautiful world & I am happy to be here, this is why I travel.
A little about us:
One restless hot summer night 33 years ago, I saw him across a crowded High School gym. My heart stirred with emotion. I struggle to catch my breath as I sighed. I knew one day I would marry this boy. That boy with the beautiful green eyes, stole my heart and for the next 33 years, I wondered about him.
Fast forward to today, that beautiful man with green eyes has stolen my heart, once again. This sweet man still takes my breath away, like that first night so many years ago.
My fiance’ is my inspiration. He has a fire in his soul, that transcends beyond time. Kevin has a brain tumor. He lost his career as a paramedic, due to complications of the cancer. Some people go through life wondering if they made a difference in people’s lives, I believe, he did not have that problem.
I am also well acquainted with the fragility of life, born out of living with a chronic illness (Crohn’s disease) These diseases which on a positive note, has forced us to *slow down and stop to smell the roses*. We have learned to live with what life has dealt us, and try to remain positive always. Being positive has helped us to be the best we can under the circumstances
I can’t even find the words to express how much Kevin means to me, I am so fortunate to have such a wonderful man in my life. He is truly the sunshine in my life, the sparkle in my eyes. He has given me more than I thought possible. He has given me meaning, his heart & a love deeper than the ocean. I was thrilled to be able to share Rome with him. It was the most amazing experience we’ve ever had.
