New Dishes to Tempt Your Taste Buds
You will know if a new food item attracts you because you will start to have the mouth-watering sensation. A new restaurant may upload the best pictures to their website or flyers to help build this sensation and make you want to try items on their menu. Different descriptions of what is all included in your meal can help heighten this feeling, too. Give your taste buds the temptation on some of these favorite menu items from all over the world.
India – Malai Kofta
This recipe is used for making vegetable “meatballs” in a thick sauce. This is the vegetarian alternative. Koftas are made from a mix of potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, and sweet corn. All of these are cooked and mashed before mixing their spices and paneer. Paneer is the blocked “cheese” that is like tofu in its texture. This food item goes well with naan or jeera rice (cumin rice). Jeera rice takes roughly thirty minutes to cook and five minutes to prepare. Cumin rice is made of basmati rice (long grain Indian rice), water, oil, onion, cumin seeds and coriander leaves to garnish. Malai Kofta, with the rice combination, is normally served as the entrée.
Europe – Pierogi in Poland
Pierogi are dumplings made of dough that is typically filled with potatoes, ground meat, sauerkraut, cheese and/or fruit. Most of the time this dish is topped with sour cream. To make these you will need flour, salt, melted butter, sour cream, eggs, vegetable oil, shredded cheddar cheese, onions and processed cheese sauce. To cook, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to boil. Drop in perogies one at a time and you will know that they are done when they float to the top. Pierogi is normally served as a side.

American – Biscuits and Gravy
This recipe is as simple as the name – there is biscuits and there is gravy. You can make the biscuits from scratch or buy them from the store (whichever you prefer). There are many ways, however, to make the gravy. If you are wanting to stick to the classic way of making the gravy for this dish, you will use sausage gravy. To make sausage gravy you will need sausage (choose your favorite kind or you can substitute with bacon or other favorite meats), flour, butter, half-and-half (or substitute whole or 2% milk) and seasoning such as thyme, rosemary and crushed pepper. When you are done mixing your ingredients for the gravy, spread it over the top of the biscuits. This is a country-style breakfast dish that can have many sides and is best served hot.
Germany – Bratkartoffeln
Germans are sometimes referred to as “Kartoffeln” as a joke because it seems that every day a German is having at least one dish which contains Kartoffeln. This is normally a side dish and, essentially, is just fried potatoes. To make, you will need red potatoes, onion, bacon and butter. First, these are chopped into cubes and boiled. Once boiled, fry them in your favorite oil and serve as a side to your favorite meal.
